A R/37/480 was used & supplied via a 25KVA rural 480 volt single phase supply to operate :
refrigeration equipment, wine presses, must pumps etc.

                                                                    IMPORTANT
The output of the converter could be used to operate all loads in any order or sequence with no modification of equipment that may or may not contained microprocessors etc,  as a POLYPHAZ  rotary converter is a linear device & produces a smooth sine wave similar to utility supplied three phase power

Cape Clairault have used three converters over the years as they have grown,  the first unit was a R/22/480 to run a freezer container to chill the grapes the second  a R/37/480 rotary converter to operate the wine press, refrigeration, pumps etc. to the current unit a R/75/480 rotary converter to operate : Compressors, refrigeration compressors, cool room, bottling line, press etc.

The supply to the converter is 3 x 25KVA Transformers supplying a 480 volt single phase supply, the 415 volt three phase output from the converter supply's the equipment in any order or sequence as load requires & uses the latest VOLTRAK system that provides a balanced  output supply voltage as required by modern wine processing equipment.

Three phase power was in sight of the winery  but expensive to get connected to operate refrigeration equipment, must pumps, wine press, etc.
A three phase generator was used for a short time but proved to be expensive & noisy.
