Rotary converters are suited to Single or multi motor loads & non rotating loads ( welders / plating equipment ) , they can be used for single or several three phase loads in any sequence or order up to the converter rating, as the converter is a linear devise it produces a smooth sine wave & can be used to supply equipment control circuits i.e.: control transformers,PLCs & control circuit components.

Unlike VSDs/ VVVF drives or inverters that contain high speed switching devices that can distort the supply voltage &  place limitations on the rating to supply ratio,( approx. 10% of supply capacity without filtering 40% with filtering ) as per AS2279.2.

A POLYPHAZ rotary converter can utilize the total KVA capacity of the supply transformer with the installation operating at close to unity power factor.

When selecting a converter the largest single motor or starting motor should not exceed half the converter rating subject to load starting current requirements, please contact us for advice when making selection.
Rotary converters come in two parts a static converter & a dedicated drive that reacts with the converters to produce the third phase depended on loads requirements.
