PumpingCASE STUDIES Single to Three phase POLYPHAZ Rotary converters
Palmers Winery Margaret river Western Australia
A strata titled winery comprising of 37 free hold vineyard blocks , with sites ranging from 2 hectares to 5 hectares all irrigated via a central lake, three phase power was out of the question and a generator set was not a viable option to operate the two 15kw submersible pumps laid on their sides to irrigate the vines via the lake.

2 x R/37/480 rotary converters
Three phase power was required to operate the 22KW
submersible pump at this rural location, however was many Kilometers away
& several thousand dollars to get connected.
A rotary converter was specified / selected as a good
voltage balance is required to operate submersible pump.

Irrigation was previously supplied via 2 x 15 kw 3 phase pumps operated via 2 x electronic inverters for approx. three years during this time they have replaced four Western Power supply transformers due to Harmonics, along with other problems like contactor coils running hot & melting ,the switchboard running hot all typical indications of harmonics.
They needed to upgrade the irrigation to 3 x 22kw pumps operated via one of the existing VSDs to control pressure , we offered the R/75/480U rotary converter to supply 415 volt three phase from their 480 volt single phase supply with standout results in the form of: efficiency, voltage & current asymmetry with none of the effects of harmonics apparent.
How we achieved these results:
