POLYPHAZ     Phase converter "short circuit protection"  

Standard breakers or fuses will not protect a  phase converter in the event of a short circuit fault.

Standard C curve breakers have a tripping current of 5 > 10 current setting , worse still D curve 10 >14 current setting,  both these breakers are NOT acceptable for phase converter protection and in the event of a insurance claim may be a issue.

If  standard  short cuicuit protection is used you run the risk of serious damage / component failure or premature component failure in the event of a short circuit fault after much field trials & working with our component supplier we can  offer you peace of mind when using our product , that's why we build-in these specialized breaker in most of our larger converters.
